There is no Federal law concerning shift differential pay.

Some states may have legislation concerning level of payment for odd shifts, but I'm not aware of any and doubt if any such laws exist.

Some Union contracts do have specific requirements for paying shift differential for shifts starting after certain hours.

Unless there are some laws lurking out there or a specific contract, pay for any shift is whatever the job rate is. An employer MAY pay a higher rate, either a percentage or cents per hour, for some shifts, but is certainly not required to do so.

No a company isn't required to pay you more for working the graveyard shift. A company will typically pay someone more for working it, because those positions are hard to find poeple that will work them and paying more will catch more people's attention.

Some companies pay more for night shift and some don't. It is not mandatory that they pay you more for it.
