I don't admire athletes either. I have to agree that make way too much money to play a game that they love. My husband worked hard in the Army for 8 years and served a year in Iraq for less than $30,000 a year and pro athletes make more than that just for showing up to practice. It makes me sick that they make so much money and while yes they do give some back to the community it just doesn't make it right. There are also some very hard working men and women who build the homes these athletes live in who make less in one year than they make per day. It is just not right. Who would admire that?

I don't know if anyone remembers but there was a swimming athlete in 1990s called Matt Biondi. Gosh he is so cute, I don't admire him, just that he is cute.
Also, if it's race car thing - Ayrton Senna. When he was out there my heart was beating so fast I was worried he'd die in the race!
I don't watch too many sports so I don't admire too many athletes.

I admire my little brother. He plays sports year round in school and he does it for the love of sports. Not for the money. Not for the fame. Because he loves to play the game.

I don't admire any of them. They get overpaid to play games. Give the money to people who are starving in this world!
