Well as long as James Hetfield is off the drugs and Lars Ulrich is on them they will continue to put out uninspired music that lacks any redeeming value. And what was with Lars' drumming in St. Anger? It sounded like he was banging on a trash can and some pots and pans. Get him a real drum set.

4 years has gone,Hetfield's voice is back,Hammett solos are back and now they know about the stupid mistakes they made on st.anger...i like st anger but its just not as good as other metallica records...dont forget that metallica has been the most succesful band so far.Rob is a better bassist compare to Newsted(technicaly)...I liked jason though(he was a good headbanger) Bob rock is not going to produce the next and the final record.Rick rubin is going to produce it instead and he is a talented producer. I saw kirk and james on an interview they were talking about the next record and kirk said: Everything works great and we are doing good on the songs.it feels right.

I sure hope not. They need to go back and listen to their old stuff, and go by what they sounded like at that time. That last album wasn't that great. It was all out metal, but not very good.
