Pregnancy Test...HELP?

Question

Ok I'm suppose to start my period on Saturday but I just can't wait until then. They have those one tests that work up to 5 days before your missed peroid. I'm thinking about getting one. What kind should I get? And if I do it tonight do you think It would work??? Please Help. Very Despret

Well you can ( get first response) I think it would be more accurate to wait till at least a day before or the day of but if you want to then go ahead. I will tell you though that it is only about a 50% chance that it would come out positive event if you were pregnant. Just don't be upset if you get a negative because you might still be pregnant!!

If you do get a test make sure you get a box with at least 2 tests with it!!!!!( so you do not wast money! ) If you get a neg take one again if you miss your period!

There are supposed to be ones on the market that work 3-5 dyas after intercourse, but I am not sure they are on the market yet.
What are you in such a rush for, even the doctor will make you wait another week before verifying any results you get at this point. Wait a week or two, it isn't like whatever decisions you will have to make will change knowing a couple of weeks earlier, and there's a good chance that whatever results you get at this point will just have to be re-tested to verify. A lot of bother for inaccurate results wouldn't be worth it to me.

Well I think you should get the EPT they should come 2 in a box and if you take the test tonight and it negative then i dont think you should worry but if you end up not getting you period you should wait at lest a week or longer cuz right now it sounds like your stressing about it really bad and that can cause your period to come late so you can go get the test and take it tonight and if your still worryed about it then go ahead and take the other one in 1-2 weeks if you still have not started

hey i'm in the same situation.
i just took one of the first response tests, that says it can tell up to 5 days before. but it said it was negative. everything i've read and all the advice i've gotten says to wait because your pregnancy hormone is most likely not strong enough to tell at that point.
and you should always use your first urine in the morning-- that' when the pregnancy hormone is the strongest.
i regret takin the test today because now i'm really unsure and i want to know even more.
so if you can, hang in there and wait.

i also called my gyno and she said to either wait another week or come in for a blood test, which can detect sooner than any at home pregnancy test. it's up to you.

I took 2 pregnancy tests a full 7 days before my period was even due and got accurate & true positives.
The brands i used were "answer" and "clearblue easy".

I really liked the answer one better cause the positive line was so bold when the clearblue on was faint.
Surprisingly, cheap tests purchased at dollar stores or on the Internet are often more sensitive and reliable than expensive store brands. HPT's are like soda: very cheap to make, and marked up quite a bit for retail.

I know how much you want to take it. But '5 days before your period' ISN'T really '5 days before YOUR period'. It might not work.

Some HPT's say "test 5 days before your period is due!" or some such thing. Please note they are assuming a textbook 28-day cycle, with ovulation on Day 14. "5 days before your period is due" thus really "translates" to 10 DPO.

That is assuming you KNOW your EXACT ovulation date AND that you conceived ON THAT DAY.

That claim is based on a mythical 'average' woman and her 'perfect' cycle.

Get the First response pregnacy test.. some of them doesn't really show you like answer,, and there another brand too.. Because i have buy another brand of pregnacy test.. they didn't show up.. that i was not pregnacy.. Then i got prgnacy test First response and i found out i was.. I miss my for two weeks.. and try the other brand it didn't work and and try first response when i miss my third week and it show i was pregnacy..

and if you were pregnacy you would feel sick in the morning.... and your breast would hurt like hell..

well i'm not sure it will be accurate. you could ask the
person at the drugstore or whichever store you plan on buying
it from. That would be my suggestion.
