Can't we head church bells on sunday mornings? Like in europe? Is it against the law here to play the bells early on sundays? I Had this question on my mind for a while. Ive been to europe several times and i heard bells on sundays before people gathered up to pray...

There are churches that DO still ring the church bells. I know two in Southern CA near my inlaws. I think when churches started to build new churches, usually budgets are at issue, it became more of a thing of the past. But there are some older churches that still do this.
It's not against the law.

I think the USA could be very well known as a Catholic/Christian country because even the white house has Christmas trees. The reason is because that religion is dominant. This was also established by the puritans and they came here for relgious freedom in a way. The USA has many religions and it is welcoming everyone and accepting them (even the muslims who in my textbooks says are the enemy of the Christians.) So it's just a dominating religion and that is why people come to think that the USA is a Catholic/Christian country. You are free to worship whoever, whatever you want because they seperated church and state, but they (the president and everyone else) is also free to accept Christianity if they want to.

I live in the U.S. and I hear the bells of my church on Sundays, and everyday if I pay attention.
But I know this is not common. I think some of the reasons are:
+ Many communities do not allow church bells.
+ Many people do not live within walking distance of their church.
+ Many modern churches do not have bells.
+ Many older churches' bells and bell towers are in disrepair.
With love in Christ.

The USA is not a Christian country - who told you that?
Personally, I've heard church bells in virtually every US city I've been to. As far as playing them early, those are local ordinances against noise, not against churches. No church bells, no band practice, no car stereos, and so forth, between such & such a time.
And l_xclusiv..., church bells have nothing to do with a loss of morals. What a non-sequitor. If your morals are based on church bells, then you seriously need to re-evaluate where your morals are coming from.

Well I don't know if USA is any religion country. I know Vatican is, because I am Catholic, but I don't think there are enough amount of Catholic in the US to make it a Catholic country.
UK on the other hand I am sure it can be a certain religion country, because even royal descendants can not be King if they have religion other than Church of England.

The USA is not a catholic county. It's not even a Christian country. It's just a country. The dominant religion here is Christianity, but it's not a Christian country.

Because all christian morals are being abandoned. [as I'm British] However in Britain you can hear church bells all the time but gradually all our christian morals are being lost or abandoned.

With the exception of Poland, most of Europe is very secular.
We should look at them and ask ourselves if that is how we want to end up.
I think not.
Peace!
