Irony of war is that it has been the source of some of the world’s greatest technological advancements. Much of our medical advancements are a result treating battlefield wounded. So strangely, a world of total peace could easily end up a world of complete apathy, death and disease. However, I agree “peace is priceless” and no technological advancement can justify a need for war. Nevertheless, there may indeed be a price for peace that we don’t want to think about. It's an interesting question.

Bush has been spending extra on each thing, not in undemanding terms the conflict on Terr0r. . And this is mere spin accountable 9/11 on the weak spot of the Clinton administration while it has already been universal via the 9/11 fee that the Bush administration did not take Terr0rism as heavily because of the fact the Clinton people did. and probably the Clinton administration might have performed much extra, if we weren't all distracted with the substitute Impeachment nonsense. Blame the partisan Republicans for 9/11!

The cost of peace is war! Peace does not mean sitting and waiting to be attacked. Peace means having no enemies to attack you. War (as it should be waged) creates peace! Unfortunately, the United States has not "fought to win" since WWII. Instead, we "fight to not lose," and we consistently lose...
Do you realize, in the 60 years or so of the US being the world's greatest superpower, we have lost 3/4 of the major wars that we have been a part of. In fact, since achieving that status, we have not won a major war against a single third-world country! How is it that the world's greatest military (the only military in human history that has the power to completely destroy the planet) cannot beat a third-world country in a war? Why is it that the only major war that the United State has won in the last 60 years (the Cold War) was won after years of us saying we couldn't possibly win? It wasn't won until Ronald Reagan said we would win by flexing our proverbial muscle. We flexed, and we finally won. Why don't we ever flex in our wars anymore? Instead, we're content with losing.

As long as war is profitable, greedy men will promote war to make money. President Eisenhower warned Americans of this in a speech (see link). Peace is free.

There is never going to be peace in the world. There are 2 choices. Negotiate with the people who are trying to kill you or kill them. There are certain things that you can't buy and peace is one of them. As long as there are evil people in the world there will never be peace. Evil is here to stay so get used to it.

The price of peace is free.
It costs nothing to remove our presence from the middle east and to end our unwavering support for the terrorist state of Israel.
