Yeah, I think it's stupid. Why did they change it in the first place? Was there some problem with the original ball? I don't understand how the change could possibly benefit the players, especially the veterans who have been playing for many seasons. And, in any case, it's unfair to change _anything_, for better or worse, in the middle of a season.

I have to say it is wrong to change the ball, but if almost all of the players dislike it then you have to change it. Many said the microfibre ball did a multitude of things different like bouncing and they complained that it cut their fingers more often. Even though it has proven stat wise to be a better ball, if the guys who have to use it don't like then they should change it.

Definitely i think the players were getting used to them and this will throw them off.I think scoring will go down a little at first then get back up.One EX is Gilbert Arenas. He said he didn't like the new ball and it showed he struggled early, but now hes scored like 30+ points in like 10 strait games. They need to pick something and stick with it.

Seems weird to me, but the NBA changes all the time. A few years back they decided first round series were going from best of five to best of seven right before the playoffs started.
It seems odd they wouldn't have tested the ball more, instead of finding out it was cutting people's hands in games.

they should have really tested it proior to the season... Took votes and the decided prior to the season's start. They should not change it during the season. They could wait.

That's stupid! Why would they change the balls when the players get acustomed to a certain kind during practice? That's rediculous.

i dont think its that wrong, cuz they sprung it on them at the beginning of the year, and now their changing it back to the way it was. Plus people kept getting cuts from the material of the new ball. No one really got attatched to it.

If the players were complaining, why wouldn't they fix the problem ASAP?
