I know what you mean with the binmen - bunch of chancers!

For me, Christmas always arrived around 9pm on Christmas Eve. When I was young we used to put the tree up around that time and suddenly we knew that Christmas had arrived.

Now we put the tree up 2 weeks beforehand but I still don't think it's Christmas until 9pm on the 24th.

When I walk into my Brother's house and see an 8 foot Christmas tree that is four feet wide at the bottom, when I see the ornaments on my own tree, and ultimately--as someone else said, there is no more money in the bank!
Well, not totally skinned, but close enough.
Oh yes, the can rattlers and bell ringers wanting donations. Occasionally I chuck a few coppers in, a way of saying thanks for all I do have.

When your sitting in your car in traffic listening to the radio and a Christmas song plays, or when you flip through channels (on the tv) and see A Christmas Story or Rudolph the red nosed reindeer... then is when I realize that Christmas is here.

i realise it is truly here when i go to buy the last of the presents and realise i have no money in the bank. wandering around the shops i then realise that everything i have already bought and wrapped has been reduced to half price or less. if i had waited a few more weeks i could have saved a fortune. aggghhhhh

Sometimes it comes and goes before it even hits me. The weather plays a big role in it for me though. Snow would definately help though get into the spirit instead of all the rain!

Around September i think!
Most shops are bombarding us with Chrismas earlier and earlier every year. We get all behind because it becomes part of our normal routines to see these things so early.
Well it does for me anyway.
Merry Christmas

Before you know where you are Christmas comes and goes in split seconds. It will be here one day and gone the next.
