Well he is going to be out of commission for 2 to3 months not weeks. The older you are when you get a break the longer it takes to heal.
He will need help going to the bathroom and probably a wheel chair for a month or two.
It all depends on how seriously they were broken, crushed or snapped.
Be there and be helpful he will need you and he will not feel good at all. I am assuming that he is having surgery to get them repaired and surgery from a damaging injury is painful and time consuming to heal.
Good luck to you and your family.

Don't worry sweetie. He will be in a cast or two for about 6 weeks. Don't listen to these a**-holes that are saying terrible things. The doctors will fix his legs up real nice. Look at it like this, if he has 6 weeks of healing time, then he is going to get rather bored. Rent him so movies, or play chess with him. Look at it as bonding time for you and him. As long as he can still move his toes and feel them even if it's just a little, he will be just fine!!! I will pray for you and him, for strength.
Good luck

Don't worry, most things seem worse than they really are. At worst, he'll get a surgery, which isn't that bad. Just pray and help him

Don't think about that right now. It may not be as bad as all that. They could be clean breaks that will heal nicely. Just wait and see what the doctors have to say before you freak out. Just be there for him to hold his hand.
Keep praying for the best case scenario, it will all work out.

Blood clot, or gangrene. So either a stroke, heart attack, death, or having both legs cut off.
He will probably be fine, don't worry about it.
