I think that we do control our lives, but I don't believe in fate (as in destiny). I think every decision we makes affects our lives, so there is no set "road" for us. A very good example of what I believe can be seen in Tom Cruise's "Vanilla Sky". Sure did make me think, and remind me to think before I act.

I personally believe we have a lot more control than some would care to think. It's easier to blame our problems and failures on a lack of Government programs than it is to admit we screwed up.
My wife and I went through several years of trouble and heart ache, but we never blamed anyone but ourselves.
People need to accept responsibility for their actions and the subsequent results.

You control your decisions that have to be made when something or someone does something to make you make a decision. So you can look at it in different ways. The fact remains you make the final decision. What does not remain is if the things around you making you make the decisions are real. So that leaves that question to be answered.

I think that fate determines what we are going to go through but we just change the direction of it through our actions and preferences.however different the direction is,we'll experience what's written in our fate.

I really don't believe so. I am one of those people who believe our life is a map that was written out for us before birth. What ever that was meant to happen will happpen no matter what we do.
