Maybe something that is both entertaining and about the Carribbean?

Let's see...

There's always Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson, which is your classic tropical island pirate story. Or there's Robinson Crusoe, by Daniel Defoe, or The Swiss Family Robinson, by Wyss, both of which are also set on a tropical islands, but...they both involve shipwrecks, and might not be the best thing to be reading on a ship!

I'm going on a cruise this up-coming Sunday (Western Carribbean) and will be taking the Brothers Karamozov by Fyodor Dostoevsky along to finish. It has nothing to do with the Carribbean or warm weather, but is an amazing read nonetheless.

...you wouldn't happen to be sailing on the Carnival Victory?

i live in the Caribbean! Where are you going? I suggest you read something about some of the places you are going...or just read anything, but when you get to the islands [ not to scare you] dont take a book about that place with you. Where i am the tourists stick out like black paint on a white canvas! and it isnt safe because there are some hustlers that will try to trick you into buying stuff! so stay safe! i am gonna check back with you so add some more details! Also, theres so much more to do on a cruise than read books! Single? Meet some cool people! Taken? Take your sweetheart somewhere, dont bore her! :) --Elementamigo4
