What if im not very photo genic? I dont have a lot of pics of my self? And how do u do the whole pics thing on to the computer? Oh but i dont even have a camera? Where is the best place to get one like for myspace stuff?

If you are a minor, you should NOT have your photo posted online...you want the predators that are out there to know as little about you as possible, and that includes what you look like. To make online friends, your appearance shouldn't matter and anyone who won't chat or correspond with you because they don't know what you look like, isn't worth wasting your time on anyway.
People have accounts on myspace and other social sites to meet people of similar interest, network, business opportunities, friendship, dating, or a number of other reasons. Unfortunately, not everyone online has good intentions and that's why everyone, especially young people, need to protect themselves and their personal information by giving out none of it. You simply cannot know who is sitting on the other end of your monitor, talking to you...they may be exactly who/what they say they are...or they may be 100% different.
Use caution...you can still have TONS of fun online, but be safe...take no chances...let your folks know where you to online and what sites you use...and don't EVER make arrangements to meet someone from online without your parent's knowledge and permission (and supervision) or until you are an adult and responsible for your own protection.

i personally have had both the positive and negative turn outs of having a myspace. yes it is a great way to keep with friends and show your creative side! then it is also a way to find some new ones, there are definatly weirdos on there, and when you create a profile u put personal information on there and then you usually put pictures of yourself on there, these are like invitations to yourself! but i think that iifyou dont get carried away with the whole myspace thing and keep in mind that it is a public to the world thing then walla! make one they are fun, but treat it as if it were your diary! you wouldnt want just anyone to read it right?

i would say dont get one. Myspace is VERY addicting. I really regret even making one. Some people chose to have one to commuinicate with old friends and even to find a "soul mate" haa well if you dont put any information like where you live what school you go to your ag or anything you wont get rapper o anything and you should be fine itsmore up to you then whqt i say but if allll ur firends ahev one then why not get one? your choice

well i thought the same thing until my friend made one for me and wow is it addicting. you can talk to like everyone in your school, add them as friends, change your layout to some really cute ones you can really do alot with myspace now... they even have chat rooms and i think music videos you can put on your page. if you want to get one you should but if your worried about the whole being kidnapped and things like that then you should talk with someone like your mom and tell her about it show her your page your friends those kind of things.. that way nothing bad will happen and if so they'll know who you were talking to

I have found friends and ex boyfriends from 7 years ago.. It's a nice way to see what's going on in people's lives, and keeping in touch, w/o having to pick up the phone. Sounds superficial, but personally I wouldn't care to have the meaningless chit-chat same old question conversation, and this way you don't. Plus there are groups that you can join. For I'm part of example: I'm part of a quilting group, dessert group (I've received Great recipes) and one that a friend started where we just talk...

That is a very big assumption that you are making about "kidnappings".
MySpace, even though I don't have one, is a social network. Basically used to keep up with friends, co-workers and acquaintances.

if people know how to be safe on myspace, then it's fine.
don't include ur last name. or ur exact location.
don't be friends with everyone who wants to be ur friend.
it's nice to be able to find friends u lost touch with or that moved and whatnot.
it really is a good site, as long as you don't get stupid on it.
