My headlights are out, though my day running lights still work, but my appointment to have them fixed isn't until next year (I'm going out of town). Is there anything I can use, or just don't drive at night?

Oh and it's a pontiac sunfire.

That's right, I should probably say it's the wiring in my multifunction switch, the dealer has to do it because of the airbag. The bulbs are fine.

I'm assuming, perhaps incorrectly, that your headlights are broken and don't just need the bulbs changed, which is fairly simple to do.
Nothing homemade will match the illumination of your headlights and you'll probably still get a ticket. Better to avoid driving at night until they are fixed or borrow/rent another car.

Headlights take two seconds to put in I just had my mechanic put mine in the other day and they only cost very little money. Like less than $20. Don't be so cheap by the headlights!

Just tape some flashlights to the outside and you are on your way. Don't use duct tape or anything crazy like that. Just some scotch tape should work fine. Also, drive real fast. On the highway. Drunk.

If you have the owners manual to your vehicle, you could actually replace the bulbs yourself. They are relatively simple to replace, and pretty inexpensive.

Many auto parts stores will install them for you for free.

In the meantime, don't drive at night.
