It depends dose he win any money? If he does maybe he's pretty good at the game and can turn it into a job. I know a guy who gave up his job to play poker he now earns about $65 000 a year US. If your boyfriend doesn't win fairly regularly (no one wins all the time) then maybe he has an addiction, talk to him about why he plays, how he's doing and if he's made a profit. It might help you both come to an agreement.

A lot of people have these problems. First dose he enter these poker tournaments with real money that you both earn. If so tell him that he has a problem and that it's hurting you and he needs help. If not why are you tripin my sister gets on the computer after school at 4:00pm and get's off the computer at 10:00 pm some people just like to play in the computer. You should be happy he's not looking at porn then that might be a problem. ^_^

Sounds like you just have a boundaries problem, one that needs to be resolved like any other - through compromise.

If your concerned about him losing your shared money - you'll need to agree on a monetary limit that can be put into this hobby. ($20 a month maximum for example).

if your concerned about him spending all his time, and neglecting your relationship you'll need to agree on a limit here.

Men like their games, and its not realistic to think you can get him to never play. If he gives up poker, what is to stop him from playing Worlds of Warcraft, Golf, or any number of activities.

Coming to an agreement on issues like this is part of being in a committed relationship.

omg yes! my boyfriend plays poker stars for hours and hours.
if he won't stop to talk to you, or to hang out with you, and whatnot, then you really should consider dumping him.

why would anyone want to be second to a game of poker?
think about it.

That's not a problem. If he was a woman spending a grand a month on clothes and shoes that will be worn once and then discarded as "so last week" then that would be a problem.

Sleep with him more, should solve the problem.

Besides, if he's winning you diamond rings, where's the problem?
