I found this movado watch that I have determined is the S.E. (sport edition) / womens. the band looks to be some sort of brushed steel. How can I tell if its authentic? Or, if I were to take it to a store that is a movado dealer, would they know?

Sounds too good to be true, I agree. Movado watches don't tend to get discounted and second-hand often retain their value. Being a quartz movement it will also be hard to tell whether it is a fake but usually the giveaway is the use of cheaper materials. The most obvious difference between a fake and a good watch is that good watches, such as yours, use sapphire crystal instead of acrylic or mineral glass on the face. Basically it shouldn't scratch for example if you take a sharp knife to it, but also if you put a drop of water on sapphire it will bead and not spread.

Yes, a Movado dealer would know... is it stamped Movado on the back or anywhere?
