Thomas Jefferson once stated that this is not a country of "trust" rather one of "dis-trust". In order for "We the People" to maintain the balance of checks and balances it is our right and our duty as patriots to dissent.

To quote a Republican president.................
"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. Nothing but the truth should be spoken about him or any one else. But it is even more important to tell the truth, pleasant or unpleasant, about him than about any one else."
- Theodore Roosevelt

Yes. Holding the governments feet to the fire is always our way whether a Republican is president or a Democrat is president. Whether Republicans control Congress or Democrats do.
And make no mistake, while the Democrats control Congress in the next few years, I intend to be VERY patriotic!!

Yes I do. We as Americans are supposedly given the freedom of speech. This means that we should be able to question the gorvernment. We should also try to help and improve what we don't like about it. Patriotism,to me, in America means that you should make things in your country better. Just because you disagree with it doesn't mean that you're not patriotic.

Yes. With the proviso that "politics ends at the borders." Meaning take your questions to the proper authorities. Don't use the main stream media to air dirty laundry. Keep the questions private and in-house, so you don't do anything to help the enemies of the US. Take the opposite approach of today's loud-mouthed liberal wackos.
