And actually, I don't WATCH Fox News. Please stop stereotyping me. Just because I'm a conservative doesn't mean I'm a Rush-listening, Fox News watching BIGOT!

Very true. I have heard many say on the left claim that terrorism was not real and that 9/11 was planned by our government, but proof shows that terrorism has been around a while.

After the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, which killed six and injured 1,000; President Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
After the 1995 bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed five U.S. military personnel; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

After the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed 19 and injured 200 U.S. military personnel; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

After the 1998 bombing of U.S. embassies in Africa, which killed 224 and injured 5,000; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

After the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole, which killed 17 and injured 39 U.S. sailors; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

Maybe if Clinton had kept his promise, accepting Bin Laden when offered by the Sudan in 1996 for example, an estimated 6,000 people in New York and Washington, D.C. that are now injured or dead would be alive today.

Bush never invented terrorism, I've yet to see ANYONE say that either on the internet or real life.

Bush has exploited terrorism to instill fear into American people that way he can do anything and get the American people to agree. Of course that fear has worn off with time and the American people can see again (I hope).

Governments have been doing this for thousands of years. From Napoleon to Stalin. Even in the US. You probably haven't done much study on US history so go on to the google search and read up on the Alien act and sedition act and you'll see how common government made fear is in the US.

"Nothing drives man more than the fear of sudden death" - Adolf Hitler

In those links you posted, no one said that Bush invented terrorism. The only thing that people in those links say is that Bush exploits terrorism, that the war on terror is a joke, and that the war on terror is just a curtain for something else. NO ONE SAID "Bush invented terrorism", stop making things up, stop being so delusional. Stop pulling the everyday red herring.

Who claimed that Bush "invented" terrorism? His harsh criticism comes from dozens of other issues, including the fact that he duped the American people, leading them to believe that the Iraqi war is the "first front" against terrorism, a theory proved to be folly. Perhaps YOU should study history. Either that or stop watching Fox News.

It just frustrates me. These same people claim that President Bush is "the worlds biggest terrorist" and then in the same breath suggest that Iraq would be better off under Saddam, a man who is responsible for the deaths or disappearances of over 100 thousand Kurds during the al-Anfal campaign in Iraq. It gets increasingly difficult to take them seriously.

Yes, actually, they do make me sick...and scared, for that matter. They haven't a clue about all the events that have led up to today's problems. They talk about Ahmadinejad like he's a legitimate "President." They have no idea of his history of terrorism. He took Americans hostage back in 1979. That's just an example. These people you speak of don't seem to know about all the attacks by Al Qaeda all over the world, killing many Americans. It goes on and on...

People who think he INVENTED terrorism make me sad for their ingnorance. People who think he has been exploiting the events of 9-11 and he has reduced the thought and idea of terrorism to a political buzz word make me think they have a point. Terrorism is very real and has been around in one form or another about as long a civilzation itself. If you don't understand this fact, pick up a book.

I haven't heard of anyone who thinks that Bush invented terrorism. Please site some examples. I do think that Bush has definitely benefited from terrorism in using fear to get re-elected and passing laws like the Patriot Act.

Anyone who insists that Bush created terrorism, the American government is resonsible for 9/11, or the American government caused 9/11, is living a life void of factual evidence or logic

Bush didn't create it. Regan manifested it into what it is today. By supporting Iraq through a proxy war with Iran Regan created the worldwide threat of Radical Islam as we know it today.

And you have? Which history? Was it endorsed by the President stay-the-course? Con and lib governments alike have filled the pockets of terrorists. But if you're stuck on questions like this then who really needs to go back to school.

The question is worded a bit awkwardly, but your point is well-taken. People who even soften it to "no, he exploited terrorism" completely miss the point. Exploited it to what end????? He woke on 9/12/01 and said "Ahhh, opportunity!"

Why would Bush want to pass the USA PATRIOT Act for any reason other than fighting terrorism? Why would he put a single person's life in harm's way for anything other the protection of the U.S. Has some of his policies been misguided in hindsight? Of course! We're dealing with an entirely new mindset and an evolving understanding of how to respond. We did the same thing in every previous major conflict. Failure to learn and adapt is will allowed 9/11 to happen -- Thank You Clinton Administration!!

Yes people who think Bush is somehow gleeful and relishing in the War on Terror make me sick. And those of vote with that mindset are going to continue to make many of us worse than sick (dead).
