damage. Depends on how they're hit, and when, but in general, solid objects (baceballs, etc...) are painful. Most blows have no long term effects (even an angry foot generally does not do anything perminant) but more serious ones (ususlly obtained during sports) should be checked out by a doctor. As far as knocking together (like while running a lot) it can contribute to pain and brusing. Some have linked excessive stuff in this department to higher rates of testicular cancer.

If pain or discoloration do not go away after 24ish hours (tenderness is okay) you should contact a doctor. If sevear pain (it's all really bad, but I'm talking absolutely unbearable) lasts for more than an hour- see a doctor. If you have any concerns about injury there, see a doctor.
