Im really pissed, that i bought my newww book for 118 dollars. I tried to sell it back at my bookstore, and they gave me zero because my professor wont use it next semester for the same class. Which websites (not amazon though) would u all recommend that are legit, and will pay me a good amount of dough??

other websites:
http://www.buy.com (affiliated with ebay - but not the same)
http://www.collegebookstore.com has a better list though.

I'd also suggest that you start getting the book requirements from your teachers in advance and ordering from these sites (it'll save you from paying that much).

typically you won't be able to sell it TO the website, rather, they will allow you to place the book for sale on their website and then will collect a small fee on the sale, or charge you for the listing.

What is wrong w/ Amazon however? Have you tried to post on your college bulletin boards around campus ??? I have to deal w/ the same stuff all the time. it sucks, thats why I always buy used or the edition before, and just make up the new information through written notes

Yeah, I feel your pain! My freshman year I made sure that I barely touched my textbooks so I could sell them back to the guys on the truck as practically new and I couldn't believe what they offered me for them! We didn't have these website back in my day, so I was stuck. Good luck!

for the past three years i have bought and sold textbooks on half.com which is part of ebay

it works just like ebay but you don't have to pay all of those ridiculous selling/auction fees and half.com reimburses you for part of the shipping cost. with ebay, the fees take a chunk out of the money you get for your stuff.

E-bay has a special section where students buy/sell textbooks. It works just like e-bay - buyers bid until the time is up. It has worked great for me. Try it! Go to www.half.com
