Personally, I think it will. It's coming out right around Christmas and it's like The Lord Of The Rings (which was an instant hit) . Plus there are many fans of the book. I thought it was an awesome book and Im going to see it very soon.

I think it will be a hit for a few months (maybe even weeks) then it will die away to make room for something else. I want to see the movie, but not nearly as much as I can't wait for the 3rd book to come out. I love the books.

Well the book sucked. So probably not, I think the book The Giver should be turned into a movie. That book was awesome and the movie would be crazy good.

The book was good. Movies are never as good as the book but from the previews I think it looks good. We will have to wait and see how it plays out. My son is looking forward to it so if it he likes it it will be money well spent.

I think it'll only be for a few weeks...i haven't seen any major promotions for the movie and I personally think it won't be like THE holiday movie for 06

I personally am not going to watch it out in theaters, I might rent it though when it comes out on DVD or something.
