Yup. Sex is still okay as long as your water hasn't broken. The water sac is what protects your baby from bacteria. Plus, sex is a good natural way to help get labor going :) There are certain chemicals in semen that help with the ripening of the cervix...so, if your still feeling up to it, have at it girl.
Congrats on the upcoming arrival of your little one!

My opinion is...save your energy...you're gonna need it to give birth!
Medically, I think you should listen to your doctor and assume that putting ANYTHING into your vagina could possibly introduce bacteria, endangering the health of your baby. I wouldn't consider it an undue hardship to abstain from sex until six weeks after the birth of your baby.
If you simply MUST have sex at this delicate time, make sure your husband showers right before and keep it low-key...no rough sex.
Those are just MY suggestions. In any case, call and ask your doctor.
God bless and keep you and your baby safe during the birth process! :-)

having sex is alright. As long as your water hasnt broken yet.
Also if you have sex the semen should help you start goign into labor. It eats away at the cervix, helping you go into labor.
good luck

Doctor's recommend sex to initiate labor. There is no need to worry about bacteria from your husband's penis or sperm, that's silly. If you are getting towards the end you can use sex to get labor started...it sometimes works. The sperm actually causes hormonal changes.

Yes it is very dangerous to have sex after the mucous plug comes out or the water breaks.

Not likely. They say you can have sex up until your water breaks. That is what they really worry about. Good luck.
