i've never heard that you need to avoid foods with a yeast infection. You should eat yogurt or take acidophilus in other forms.

If you have a yeast infection you should eat plenty of plain yogurt (fruit yogurt has the sugar you want to avoid) that has active live cultures.
As far as foods to avoid: the idea that avoiding yeast helps eliminate yeast infections is bogus, and I've seen more articles stating the same is true regarding the consumption of sugar. That said, cutting back on sugar can never hurt, right?
It's more about hormonal changes, tight pants, taking antibiotics, and the like than it is about eating too much bread!
Note: as for cranberry supplements, they are used to treat urinary tract infections, not yeast infections. Sorry.

SUGAR is the main culprit because yeast feed on it. You should avoid sugar as much as possible, and also bread, alcohol, and dairy products if you have recurring yeast infections. You might also want to supplement your diet with plain yogurt and/or acidophilus pills which contain the good bacteria found in yogurt.

Eat more yogurt (with active yeast cultures) and avoid foods that have high sugar content.
BTW, ignore those who say drink cranberry juice - that's for BLADDER infections (UTI's).

Dont avoid anything.. Besides taking medicine to cure it, also drink cranberry juice, or take cranberry supplements. This will help prevent future infections.
