Burn it in a WVO system for a diesel engine, a kerosene/diesel heater or convert it to bio diesel. That is the best way to dispose of it.
There are many people who are looking for used vegetable oil to run in their diesel engine, however one gallon wouldn't be worth finding one of these people. Ten gallons or a regular supply would be though.

Try calling a few auto repair shops in your area, some of them may burn it in their heating systems.

best? filter it and turn it in to biodiesel...
Otherwise, recycle it... your garbage company that does the recycling may take it, or will know where to recycle it... just call them
