There are sites which will do this, but it costs. For no cost you have to wait for the engines to trawl and pick up the site.
Make sure there are plenty of keywords in the description.

Yahoo!, the original search engine on the Web, continues to be unique among search engines and directories. Yahoo listings are maintained by humans rather than algorithms. Each site submitted for inclusion is accepted or rejected by a Yahoo editor who actually views and evaluates the site
As Yahoo generally ranks as the most visited search engine on the Internet, it is important to carefully submit your site for possible inclusion as a Yahoo Site Listing. Make the submission by hand rather than using an automated service or software. Carefully pick the category under which your site should be included and make your submission from that category. Carefully pick and fill out the site title, URL, and description. Be sure to add any important additional information to help in the review of your site.

Most search engines should fnd a site by trawling through the internet, however if you want to submit manually try these
Yahoo:
http://uk.search.yahoo.com/freesubmit/submit
https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com
Google:
http://www.google.co.uk/addurl/?hl=en&continue=/addurl
http://www.google.co.uk/intl/en/webmasters/
MSN:
http://search.msn.com.sg/docs/submit.aspx?FORM=WSDD
Those are the main sites, if there are any other search engines you really need to submit to there should be a link on the main page

Only amateurs submit their websites to search engines. Search engines like to find new sites (pages) for themselves;

Here's the place to get your site listed. Just follow the instructions.
Incidentally, the bots trawling for websites are looking for your sites descriptions so make sure you have the right URL.
