I just got back from soccer practice, where I got threatened. What happened was that my ex's boyfriend showed up there and started talking with some of his friends and then he asked "who was is that went out with meeka?" (my ex's nickname), and I said "I did for like a month, why?" Then he said "Well if I ever see you close to her again I'll kick your a$$" So I said "It was her that got too close to me!" So he said "well, you're warned" and I said "Go to hell"
Then since my friend told me no coaches were coming and that we weren't gonna have formal practice (just skrimage game), then I decided it wasn't worth staying since there was no supervision and someone wanted to get something started. So then, I just stood up and left practice. This guy is known for being a drug-addict who is in gangs and sent a guy to the hospital for 3 days in comma state, so I don't think it's very smart to reduce myself to his level. Do you agree with me that it's better to keep away?

you're a wuss. You can not handle a situation like a man.

Yes....without question. Being the only one of the two who has a level head does not qualify you as a wuss. You encountered an a$$hole that wanted to fight over nothing and you avoided it.
Fighting never ever solved anything. However it has caused great misery and so unnecessary. This guy clearly was looking for a fight. He also seems to be very insecure about his new girl friend. If not he would not worry about her past boyfriends.
You ask if you were a wuss or wise. In this case wise. The only time you could wuss out in my opinion would be if you didn't stand up for a friend or girl friend who needed it. That would be what I would call a wuss.
In this case there was nothing to fight over so you saw to it that it didn't happen. This was the smart thing to do.

Its a good idea to keep away, plus you're beaing the bigger, more mature person in this situation. Any guy that has to threaten someone else just because you guys went out with the same girl...is seriously compensating for something. Not getting involved is a wise move. Plus why waste your time on theis person anyways?

There are all types of crazies in this world don't join them. Sweetie the very goal of that fool is to try to make you feel like he does BAD he would not be worried about you if he thought he was worth your ex's time. You did the right thing stay away from him and her. She can't be too bright if thats the kind of guy she is into.

I am a 6th dan in northern mongolian style, and we are taught to turn and run even tho we could annihilate the other person unless there is no way out of a situation...it's not cowardice, it's good old common sense.....violence breeds more violence...you did the right thing......

In highschool I met someone like the one you mentioned, he tried to fight me, I left. I talked to the girl he was talking about and she said she had no clue. 3 days later he dropkicked me on my back while I wasn't looking and kicked my can. Kids like that come and go but they usually don't fight you if you just back off.

Of course you keep away. You may be a wuss in the eyes of some people but at least you have your health--and you're not a wuss in my eyes--for what that's worth. :)
