it depends on what state u live in i live in california and u have 2 have a work permit 2 work 4 40 hours a week and if u wanna work longer then that u have 2 have work exeperience (a school class)

Probably not, at sixteen you can join the military or get married - whichever tour floats your boat! As such I expect that employment law begins at sixteen too. Unless you're not in the UK, in which case you're asking the wrong site!
