Clicker training does work although i found with my dog he heard other peoples clickers and went to them expecting a treat! You dont really need a clicker though praise and attention works just as well. I would actually say that just giving him a treat only when hes been good works better.

Clicker training works for most animals, providing it is done correctly. And always use positive reinforcement. Never use the clicker for bad behaviour.
For a dog, you don't even have to use a clicker. Sometimes, praise and affection will work just as well.

my dog is clicked trained and I think if you work with your dog enough you can train it anyway you want to.
