I went to the Midwife yesterday and she stretched my cervix and today I have had a lot of mucous dishcarge..It has been tinged with blood. Now my legs and back are killing me...It almost feels like PMS...I was wondering if anyone has had this happen and how long until labor... I was dilated to 2 and my cervix was soft....

Stretched your cervix??? Do you mean she stripped your membranes? With my first I had my membranes stripped and went into labor about 48 hours later. It sounds like you could be in the early stages of labor.

She did that so you can hopefully start your labor soon. My Dr. did the same to me on a friday...saturday I had a bloody discharge, and lost my mucus plug. Then sunday evening my water broke, and I had her right past midnight....good luck your baby will be here shorty! Congrats!

a time to go to the hospital your in labor i've had 6 childern just go now sounds like your in back labor

WELL IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU MIGHT BE IN EARLY LABOR.
IF THE PAINS ARE CONSISTENT, AND THEY ARE AT LEAST 5 MIN APART, AND YOU HAVE SEVERE PAIN IN YOUR LOWER BACK ,AND YOU HAVE LOST YOUR MUCUS PLUG THEN YOU COULD BE IN LABOR.
BUT YOU CAN HAVE THE SAME SYMPTOMS WITH BRAXTON HICKS.
WAIT TILL THE PAIN IS SO SEVERE YOU CANT STAND IT.
AND THE CONTRACTIONS ARE 4TO 5 MIN APART, THEN GO TO THE HOSPITAL.
IF YOU GO TO SOON THEY WILL JUST SEND YOU HOME.

IT SOUNDS LIKE YOUR LABOR HAS BEGUN. THE MUCOUS IS CALLED YOUR MUCOUS PLUG. TOTALLY NORMAL! I HAD ALL BACK LABOR AND YES THE PAIN SHOOTS IN YOUR LEGS WELL AT LEAST IT DID FOR ME!

Call your midwife and explain your symptoms. You could be in labor.
