Adorable, aren't they? Well cared for pet ferrets live, on average, 8-10 years. The oldest on record lived 18 years, but 8 is much more likely. Lots more ferret details on the source listed below:

Ferrets live up to 5 to 7 years. Some 'record-breakers' make it up to 10 years. Good luck!

MY LITTLE BUDDY JUST PASTED AWAY THIS SPRING AND HE WAS ALMOST 6 YEARS OLD AND I WAS TOLD THAT WAS OLD FOR A FERRET...LOVELY LITTLE CREATURES...LOTS OF FUN...I FED HIM A MIX OF IAMS KITTY FOOOD AND MARSHALLS FERRET CHOW... HE WAS REALLY SOFT AND SWEET....NEVER BITE ME ...VERY LOVING
