I'm doing a report on America is..... my topic is America is free and i need to know what things make us "The Land of the Free".

The essence of freedom in America is contained the Bill of Rights (link below), which is the first ten amendments to the Constitution. Take each one and see if you can find a modern-day example of each. That would make a great report.

This isn't what you're looking for....but I think America has fundamental freedoms that is what the country was founded on....but no country including America is totally free.

We seem to be losing some of our freedoms as we become more populated and more aware of the rest of the world.

Of course we are free! We're free to work where we choose, live where we choose, worship as we choose. We are able to pursue an education in whatever area we choose, we are free to raise any size family. We have freedom of speech and expression...ect., ect.,so if you ask me, I'd say I'm free as a bird!!

I can travel [nearly] anywhere I want, I can choose any religion I want - or none at all, I can get any education I want - or none at all, I can read or write any book, magazine, newspaper, or Internet site I want, I can criticize my government and my president if I want (even the current administration), I can leave this country if I want (always a consideration with the current administration).
