Anyone had a surgical abortion in planned parenthood?
Were you under complete anesthesia and fully asleep or were you just numbed from the waist down? How did it feel?
How long did you bleed for after it was done?
Did you have any bad symptoms after the procedure? (vomitting?..etc..)
And if youve already stopped bleeding, does everything feel the same down there now?
Thanks

I had the abortion pill, but it didn't work. They had to give me a D&C surgery afterwards, kind of the same thing.
I was under anesthesia and I didn't feel a thing, even the next day I was fine. I bleed for about 1 1/2 weeks, nothing painful, just like a regular period. I had no syptoms. Everything felt fine. No problems. I do not recomend the pill though. The pill made me cramp and bleed and throw up alot. That is probably why it didn't work. I regreted the abortion because I didn't want it in the 1st place and I felt forced into it. I had no insurance and my boyfriend had just lost his job. I felt like I had no choice. I was always one of those people that was so against abortions, but come to realize I needed to put myself in that person's situation. People should not be judging you. There comes a time in everyone's life where something doesn't work out, and they just have to do what they have to. I assure you your procedure will be fine. I am now pregnant again and am very excited that I was able to conceive again. :)

A few of my friends had abortions, but not at Planned Parenthood. Most Planned Parenthood locations don't perform abortions.

I went with one of my friends to support her because your shi*ty boyfriend wouldn't go. She was not under complete anesthesia, although that is usually an option. She did experience some pain during the procedure. You will bleed for about 7 - 10 days I think. She did throw up after the procedure, although my other friend said she didn't and I don't think that is very common. And yes, everything goes back to normal, no changes.

Also, don't listen to these JERKS. It's your life and your choice if you want to be pregnant or not! THEY don't have to be pregnant and go through all the physical and emotional changes. I'm 26 wks pregnant. I planned to have this child, I'm happily married, 27 yrs old and it's still hard being pregnant! You need to decide what's right for you, don't let anyone else tell you what to do!

You can usually choose whether you want to be put under or whether you would like local anesthesia. Make sure you ask your provider before hand if they offer both options.

Also, I just want to encourage you to ask all of these questions to the place that you end up choosing because they will have trained medical staff available to answer your questions and put your mind at ease.

Best of luck.

That wasn't the question, Sonia. Abortion is a hard enough choice on its own; don't make the poster feel bad when they're just looking for information.

I would be more worried about the psychological concerns with murdering a baby than the physical.

Dont have the abortion ...your child could be a great contributor to society..and a great person to know.
Please consider adoption. Give your child a fighting chance.!!!
