hi Im Thinking about going to uni to study law, eventually move onto criminal law. Can anyone suggest what sort of careers i can get out of this? and is it a very difficult course?

Well, if you want to study criminal law, you are probably going to become a lawyer. Perhaps a public defender or a district attorney would be something that's up your alley. Law school is very hard and time consuming no matter what type of law you are practicing, so you may want to take that into consideration when you're weighing all your career options.
