ok, in episode 2 she said, "i think i was to young when i was elected queen" and if you read the books you will notice that they focus on the age difference of anakin and padme. they are pretty far apart but i think that age she was in the movie is pretty much that age were we don't have many noticeable physical changes. but of course my best bet would be, that it is just a movie,

But seriously, the premise of the question is a little off. Certainly Anakin "ages," because two different actors are used, but to suggest that only Portman's character didn't seem to "age"...I don't buy that. I mean, Jarjar looked the same to me too.

I know!! i dont get that either like what age was she wen she became queen! she must have bin pretty damn young! oh and in the Return of the Jedi Laya (sorry if i spelt it wrong, says her mother died wen she was very young and that she can only remebe her a wee bit and that she was sad whta the hell is that about!!?? in the new movies she dies wen them two are born baffaling! lol
