Because the media in amercia only cares about white people.
Example: Hurricane in Louisiana
white people = salvaging
black people = looting
Example: Bus crash
white person = tragedy
any person of color = no attention

I personally think it is a shame that you are drawing a comparison between the two - whether the media reports on a case or not we should remember how sad it is that all these people have lost their lives. Just because a person has ended up in the world of prostitution it does not mean that their life has less value than another.
Have you thought that the family of those poor women in Accrington may have not wanted the news splashed across the news papers and wanted to grieve in peace for their loved ones? Where as the families of the poor girls found in Ipswich fear that this could happen to another persons child and would want as much media coverage as possible to help identify the killer and prevent it happening again?

The difference is the murderer was known and it was very shocking. In Ipswich the murderer is still on the loose.
The Muslim women's deaths is very sad the same as the lose of life of the prostitutes no matter how they earned their living,
Prostitution is said to be one of the oldest professions and like it or not they do stop women getting raped also often meet the needs of disabled or unattractive men that are unable to find a partner. There are a lot or reasons why women turn to the sex trade and we should not judge them

Why do you emphasis that the women were prostitutes. does it really matter what there profession was they were human beings, some mothers child and maybe some child`s mother. The deaths in Accrington were a domestic issue and the culprit is now dead. The scum who killed these 5 women are still out there. Even Jack the Ripper and the Yorkshire Ripper moved on to "innocent" women. Dont judge anyone for what they see is the only way to survive at the time. Try and walk a mile in their shoes

. The man who burned his family to death did get press coverage, I can remember seeing it on the news and in all the papers. This man doesn't deserve the attention the media lavished on him. His family did get lots of mentions as well. The funerals were covered and the media were at the house and interviewing the woman's family and Friends. The media have an obligation to cover the story of the prostitutes , or sex workers as they have been called. They need to make women aware of the dangerous situation that as arisen for these poor women. These women were probably very nice people, it doesn't make them nasty people because of their chosen career, I feel so sad for these women, firstly because of the job these ladies did, because they couldn't get by on benefits, these women all were some poor ladies daughter, and possibly they may have had kids of their own. I really don't think you should have asked such an unfair question. These people the Asian family and the five sex workers are dead, and in my opinion they deserve some respect, instead of the likes of you having a silly little tantrum because these poor women are getting their bit of posthumous attention, how sad and pathetic do you sound. I would just like to say to all the ladies families my thoughts are with you. God bless ladies you didn't deserve what you went through.

Might have something to do with this nutter is still out there and could still be praying on woman.
I live very close to where the last two bodies have been found ( I see the police helicopters from my house).
I know how scared I am, living so close to all of this.
Also the man that murdered his family is now in Jail so no need for a national man hunt.

The sad death of the ladies in Accrington could not be sensationalized by the media. The murder of prostitutes often attracts the interest of the prurient and voyeurs. It has always been like that. In nineteenth century London women were often murdered in domestic violence - but it was the murders of prostitutes by Jack the Ripper that won world wide attention. Nothing ever really changes.

Murder is murder :
The tragedy in Acrington was also well reported.
It was a horrific event .
And most people where truly shocked
Any serial killing ,such as the one, now developing in Ipswich,
is appalling and will draw maximum news coverage
Murder is Murder
nobody can say it is right to kill any person,
, no matter what their status in life is
Murder is a terrible act .when ever it happens

Probably because the murders are on going where as the muslims case has been solved plus the media will give more sympathy to the working girls than they would muslims. After all just look at how the muslims are behaving at the moment.

As with many others, I can honestly say, "never heard of it". The deaths you mention are of course "important", and sympathy is due to the innocents who died. Possibly there is undue sensitivity within the media to reporting `bad Muslims at it again`, this is not my view, but certainly many other `ethnic issues` are sidelined, perhaps in an effort to stop the pot boiling over. In terms of national coverage, Ooh, how the press enjoy serial murders!

Maybe because the police are using the news to assist in their investigation for gathering witness evidence and to warn the prostitutes of the ongoing risk.
