Since i don't have a dryer i find hanging works best...lol. But seriously..for most of my clothes which are cotton hanging is best..no shrinkage and would still have to iron even if i used a dryer. The only thing i miss about a dryer is lint removal...but i am very careful what gets washed with what. And in the summer it's really nice..they dry quickly..it doesn't cost a thing to do, and the clothes..and especially the sheets smell to nice and fresh.

I love the fresh smell of out door line drying but I need the softness of a clothes dryer used with a dryer sheet. It's the best. I live in a four season climate and I use the dryer more often because of the cold weather.

Line drying is better for the clothes and the environment, so if you're in a warm climate, and have the space, go for it.

I know lots of people that don't have dryers.

I hang most of mine on the line in the summer till they are dry then still bring them in and put them in the dryer so about 5 min to soften them.In the winter I have to use the washer and dryer, since it is never warm enough outside to dry them!
