I was wondering if they are good cars because I am looking at one to purchase and it has 140,000 miles and is a 2001? Are they good cars?

They are OK, with that sort mileage you better make sure it has a new timing belt. It has what is called an interference engine, and if the belt breaks while running, you'll be buying an engine. It is recomended to be changed about every 70000 miles.

they are ok. but for having 140,000miles is alot for a car 5 yrs old. at that age should have no more than 100,000 max. I would suggest a Honda. Everyone in my family has a Honda & I have never had a problem with my accord. Its a 2002 & only has roughly 70000miles. I only change the oil & keep routine maintenance. My sister still has her original 1992 civic as a second car & it runs great. stick with a Honda over the mitsubishi

I had a 92 with about 160000 miles on it when I sold it to a friend and it is still running but that's alot of miles for a car that new. I would price it before I would buy it.

My daughter had the Mopar edition of that car (Diamondstar stuff), and while it ran, it ran good.

The repairs are very tough to do, and therefore you probably won't repair it. Make sure you have a good mechanic inspect it before you buy.

yes they are. they are very reliable just make sure that the cam drive belt has been changed at the 100k mark and each 100k after that. because if they let go , its very expensive. regards
