Speak with the childs optomitrist... There are special head straps (around the back of the gead and under the chin) available that will hold the eyeglasses firmly in place making it impossible for the child to remove them... Once the child gets used to the glasses and stops trying to remove them all the time the under the chin portion of the strap can be removed and the around the head portion will hold the glasses in place so the child can be very active...

Wow, I bet that's hard!

What about those elastic bands that go over the eyeglass arms and around the baby's head? If they were on med-tight and low, they would probably work for awhile.

But are they a choking hazard? That might be a problem.

Bandaids?

Maybe your pediatrician will also have some ideas.

The only thing I can think of is to get some of those glass bands that connect to the glasses and set around your head. You can loosen and tighten it. Other than that I would find it pretty tough to have a 14 month old wear glasses.

As far as I know, there is only the bands that are attached to the glasses and then do up at the back of the head. Maybe someone at an eyeglass store can help you.

You may want to try to use an elastic band. We used one with our daughter and despite early attempts to remove, she eventually got the hang of it.

I've seen babies with glasses held on by elastic bands around their head. (not tightly though)
