Try a little piece of software called " Crap Cleaner ". I know you are thinking that i'm taking the **** but try it. It will clear all your cache in various places and delete dead end files. Then give the system a good defragg . You might if you feel brave also close the system restore option if you are on XP. This will flush your restore files and free some space but it will also take away the chance to reset the computer to an earlier date if something goes wrong. When completed switch it back on again. I suggest this as the last option you try as stated there is no way back from here unless you have image files on another drive which you can re-instate when needed. Also try accessing the pages with the firewall switched of to see if there is an increase in speed. If there is then get a better firewall or re-evaluate the settings. I hope that helps. All the best.

> Uninstall IE Add-Ons Installing too many add-ons affects the overall performance of the web browser. This may be a reason of Internet Explorer crashing. Although some of these toolbars are of great use but often we install the ones which are not frequently used. For instance, some softwares come up with the option to install the browser toolbars. In many cases these are less important to the computer users. To fix this issue uninstall all the unnecessary add-ons. Follow the steps below: 1. Run IE 2. Click on Tools (at top right corner) and then click on Manage Add-Ons 3. A new window will appear on your screen select unwanted add-on and click on Disable 4. Press OK and Restart your browser > Disable Hardware Acceleration Internet Explorer crashing can also be fixed by disabling hardware acceleration. The acceleration shall be adjusted in order to watch multimedia content specially. You can adjust the acceleration easily. To do so follow the steps stated below: 1. Click on Start and open Control Panel 2. Click on Network and Internet 3. Click on Internet Options 4. In Internet Option click on Advanced tab 5. Check the box "Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering" 6. Click Apply button 7. Restart PC > Reinstall IE This browser is installed as a Windows update and incorrect or corrupted installation may lead to crashing issues. In sever cases you can uninstall the browser to reinstall it again. The process to uninstall it is a little different as compared which is given here: 1. Click on Start 2. Open Control Panel 3. Now click on Programs and Features 4. In the left panel of Programs and Features click on View Installed Updates 5. Right-click on Internet Explorer 6. Click on Uninstall 7. Restart your computer on completion of process > Fix IE Registry Keys Registry contains all the information of the applications that we install in our PC in the form of keys. If keys of any program get corrupted it won't work properly. Fix registry related issues using some secured cleaner such as McAfee Secured RegInOut Cleaner.

there maybe a few reasons, why it seems slow for you,
1. you have an old computer with a slow CPU running,
2. you have dial up connection and not broadband,
3.you might have other programmes running at the same time,
has this suddenly happened or has it been becoming slow over a period of time ?
if it's none of these then try doing a complete system scan for virus's and other nasty's, and if it's none of them, then why not buy a up to date computer with a good CPU speed plus broadband connection which these day's is 2MB twice as fast as old dial up. good luck

first, go through your computer and dump things that may be taking up lots of space. Another is get high-speed from your local cable company or anyone else.
If you don't want to pay the money for high speed, download a different internet source-like firefox for example.
But the biggest thing to help it go faster is to sort through all the stuff on the hard drive and get rid of things-especially downloads that you don't need!

You only need to do a search on here to see how many people are having problems with IE. The best thing to do is download Mozilla Firefox available from http://www.mozilla.com/ Its faster, more user friendly, easily customizable to suit your need and no problems.
