Only moral people can have a moral obligations. Many people believe there is no right or wrong, just what you can get away with. Some of them end up in jail, but most just hang around making the rest of us miserable. Those of us who do feel an obligation too often don't act on it except in times of crisis.

the moral obligation to care for the starving, sick amd destitude should lie with the governmenmts of those countries that DO not feel obliged to care for there own countryman because they want a nice 500 acre palace and buy jets and other military hardware off the US, UK while there people die by the million because quite frankly they just cant be arsed to care

there is no law or morial obligation,that says we should help those in need.we are humans.and if your asking this question then you must be someone that has feelings.and this is why we help,others,for me I feel good when I can help.alot of it has to do with my up bringing.as rich as this country is,there should never be people living on our streets.the choice is yours to make and I feel you will make the right one.pfsonger@sbcglobil.net

yes, you never when your lucky might change, there are a lot of homeless people who were once rich and/or very successful people.
Plus why not, 1% of your earnings could be a lot of money to some people on the brink of death. Cost of one alcoholic drink a week donated to charity ?

we have no obligation to do anything, we have free choice. but i do feel it is the RIGHT thing to do.
