If you were a man who had brought your only son up single handed and he is now living away from home and has a good job. Would you follow your life long dream of travelling around the world on a motorcycle or stay with a girl you met a year ago, the girl has made it very obviuos she does not want you to go. It would also mean throwing away a very good job.

Follow your life long dream mate! You have done a good job and brought up your son well. Now its YOUR time. Its a shame about the girl, but if you REALLY loved her and wanted to be with her you wouldnt be asking the question. Go for it - the world is waiting for you!

The trip around the world is only a dream. Its not as great as you may think. If she and your job are worth keeping you should stay, but she should also be willing to let you go and not interfere in your dream ? But if this is a newer relationship, if you left now, you would probably loose her as you would be gone for a long time. You should stick around and take your trip in a few years. Have fun.

Well i'm a woman but if i were a man in that situation i would find a new pillion and get on that Goldwing. If you were good enouh to get this very good job you should be ok finding another good job on your return. I reckon you will regret it if you don't go. Love does conquer all and that is why you have an adult son with a good job. Follow your dream.

Do you love her? Are you satisfied with your relationship with her?
Your son is no longer a full-time responsibility. Why not take her on a vacation with you to travel around the world, with a different means of traveling. Choose between a job and love, i do hope you make the right choice.

That is a tough one! I think you have to look to yourself to find the answer to that one.

Why doesnt the girl want you to go? Is it purely selfish? I would question how much she cares about you and your need to fulfill your dreams if there is no good reason. (Or maybe she is scared you will meet someone else--could she come with you?)

As for the job, it depends how expendable it is, and how easy it would be to pick up another similarly good one when you got back.

You may never have this chance again...but it is up to you to weigh up what is most important. Sometimes sacrifices do have to be made, but make sure they are worth it!

It depends on how you feel about the girl. Do you love her enough to stay - just for her? If not then you should follow your dream. The 'have your cake and eat it' answer would be to go travelling but ask your girl to go with you... Good luck!!

Life is simply too short!!

You go and ride off into the sunset!!

I think you already know the answer to this question!

If you don't go, you'll regret it for the rest of your life.

If she really loves you - the girl would go with you!

There's more to life than a 'very good job'.

Best of luck!!

Job, girlfriend, world travel? Interesting. So what kind of bike is it? I was thinking of taking riding lessons coz my mate Julie used to have a motor bike I fell off (I know you're concerned but I wasn't hurt) anyway, it was a 125 scrambler which she thought was real hard!
When and if I pass my test I'll get in touch with you but I gotta go now so, peace out.
