My husband had a similar lump and had it removed. It was a cyst. He has had several other cysts removed from his face and neck. At age 13, it would be extremely rare for you to have a cancerous lump. I got a lump on my leg when I was about 12, and it's still there 40 years later. If your doctor felt it and said it's nothing to worry about, you can take her at her word. Only if it grows or changes do you need to go back and get it checked again. You can relax.
