So this guy is obviously crazy. We don't want him in power, the country of Iran doesn't want him in power either. Why is he still there? He lies worse than a politician and really just messes things up! Is there anything he says that flows with the Muslim religeon? Apparently that religeon is so broad with interpretation I guess this is a hard question to answer. I think it would help us Christian's understand why he is doing what he's doing.

HE IS INSANE. He says the Holocaust was a myth and that israel's days are numbered. He says that Jews should be wiped from the Earth.

Ahmadinejad is a Shiite. Shiites believe that a hidden imam, "the 12th imam" is alive today but has been hiding on Earth for hundreds of years.

In their apocaplytic vision ,the hidden imam will return to herald the end of the World. Anyone who is a nonbeliever (an infidel) will immediately be put to death by the believers (Paks).

He is not crazy. He is a religous Muslim like millions of thers. They are blinded by their ideology.

Remember, the founder of Islam, Muhammad, was a muderer and a rapist. He had poet Asma Bint Marwan killed because she criticised him with her poetry. He took Jewish teenager Safiyah as his sex slave after torturing her husband, Kinana, to death. He married Aisha when she was 6 years old and consummated the marriage when she was 9 years old.

Sunnis are a different sect - the split created over who would be the caliph (supreme leader) to succeed Muhammad.

Ahmadinejad believes that the Hidden Imam is returning soon.

The religion preaches that nonbelievers are inferior to Muslims. But anyone who converts to Islam (any race or nationality) should be given preferential status. Buddhists, Hindus, Jews, and Christians are not afforded equal rights but are called Dhimmis (second-class citizens)

He is a figure head for a theocracy. Iran is controlled by Muslim clerics, they are letting Ahmadinejad carry the national torch to see were it leads.

If he eventually gets his country into a conflict that is not part of the main stream Muslim view, he will be eliminated.

For now, what has he done? He hasn't converted any of our allies or killed a bunch of people. He simply has bad mouthed the Western World. We probably deserve it as, we are kind of arrogant in our ways.

In case you didn't see the article or news lately: Ahmadinejad was heckled and had his photo burned by students at a major Iranian University this past week! His ability will be looked at closely by those who were responsible for placing the kidnapper in power!

I sure hope not and I don't know. I do know that if he keeps threatening Israel, a lot of innocent Iranians are going to die a horrible death when Israel launches a preemptive strike in self-defence. Then Israel will be the bad guy. But, with Iran rattling their Nuclear Sword, who could really blame them. Scary out there these days.... HB

The way I see it, the Iranian president represents his own agenda. And I believe that most of the Iranian people do not want to go along for the ride.

Ahmadinejad does not represent Islamic beliefs. He's fraud merely hiding behind Islam for his own extremist political agenda.

The only way we are ever going to be able to deal with him, and the Revolutionary Council is to give in, just a little, and actually talk to these people. Being reasonable isn't weakness. But, not being open is.

He does not represent most of Islam. However, he does represent the ultra faction of the Shia. I am not so sure he is crazy. He has found a good niche to fit into, and he likes it there.
