Let's say she is really sweet and obedient to me (atleast right now) and says her husband ditched her for another woman. Is this a good idea or is this too much baggage, etc.?

It all depends on how long you've been with her. Has she seen anyone before you since her breakup? If not she might be on the rebound and things wont last. Been there! Now as for the baggage....I don't think of kids as baggage but then again I am a woman who has 2. It all comes down to if you love her or not...and if you think you'll be able to love her son as your own. When you are involved with someone with kids...you have to take the kids into consideration. Do you want to play daddy?

Okay, do you love this woman. Frankly I would not marry you because of the obedient thing. But if she is everything you want and you are willing to be a father to her son, the do it if that's what you want. I would thought that a man like you would not need permission for anything.

good question. on the side of caution, make sure you know the visiting rights of the ex. make sure you know the relationship between the child and the ex are legitimate. [like does he come around un announced] look the woman in the eye and ask her if she has ever cheated on her ex. hold her gaze for a full minute. Other than that I think you would probably have a good life. it is not un common you know.

You can't get a chick who doesn't have a kid?
That kid will never be yours and is never really going to feel like your son.
He will always be #1 in her mind and you will be expected to support him.
Its one thing to just f uck her but totally a different story for marriage.
