Merry Christmas is my personal choice. Why? Because it's a good message that needs to continue. When I say Merry Christmas, it's my way of wishing them well. I'm not going to stop because someone thinks I'm pushing a religion on them. I say that because I believe in the spirit of Christmas just as much as I believe in the religious reasons....that Spirit being good will toward mankind.

To people that I know are Christian: Merry Christmas. That goes for people of other religions too, if I know someone is Jewish I will wish them Happy Hanukkah. Otherwise, Happy Holidays covers it.

Personally I think Happy Holidays is too generic.......And it takes out the whole meaning for me....When its Christmas..........I say Merry Christmas.......If somebody is Jewish I'll wish them a happy hanukuah.

Since you asked, Christmas is neither as merry or happy as many presume, according to police records and media files. When looking at these records it seems to be the worst instead of the best time of year on many accounts: more suicides, more thefts, more domestic problems, more financial woes, more depression, more traffic fatalities, more traffic accidents, more drunk drivers, etc. It also has more lies than any other holiday.

The gift giving is not only commercialism, but reciprocal greed.

I say Merry Christmas. That is my faith. If it isn't the persons faith that I am saying it to, they could wish me Happy Holidays back.
