i honestly think most people are doing it as if it was a trend...... what is going on? is it nature vs. nurture, bad upbringing or HOLLYWOOD?

Hate to break it to you , but "everybody turning gay" is not happening. There have been gay people on earth as long as there have been people. I'm hetero and have always been such. Didn't "turn into" a heterosexual. My guess is that its the exact same thing with gays. They didn't wake up one day and say "Hey, I know what will really piss off my parents. I'll turn gay!" My bet is that they were always gay, just hadn't learned to deal with it.

You obviously don't realize how gay ancient Greeks and Romans were. The truth is Gayness is not by any means new in the world. Nor is it any more popular. You may hear more about from the media but that doesn't mean there is an explosion of people saying "hey, i think I'll be gay. everyone's doing it" Besides most the worlds population live in poverty and will keep increasing cause demographically the improvised and uneducated have more kids. So yes there will be even more dumb questions to come on Yahoo answers.

Aside from the debate on whether one is born gay or not, or "nature" versus "nurture", the asker does have a point that for celebrities, gay is definitely a popular trend this year. Kind of like Kabbalah was last year, and kind of like African adoptions are these days. More so than being 'gay', lots of people are finding that it is popular to be 'bi', which is just disgusting. Pick a side, people!

What do you mean everybody? They're not. Oh, and people don "turn" gay. They are what they are, only now they don't have to hide it so much. The only good thing about a decrease in population would be that there would be less homophobic bigots.

No people aren't turning gay, they are just coming out more because it is now more acceptable.
Poor upbringing? Hardly my gay friends' parents are great. I'm often finding myself being jealous of them.

Not everyone is turning gay...if you look at it...there are way less gay people than straight people. You just hear about gays and lesbians so it makes them seem like they're a big group but they're really not.
