Please don't make any biased or rude comments. I want to read serious views from wrestling fans. How do you think it can be improved to attract everyone and not just yourself.
One thing I think it needs to improve in is the actual wrestling. The wrestlers in WWE are good but they are limited to the moves they can do in the ring.

I think most of the problem lies in that Vince is too far removed from what the fans want, but he is the one using the most influence to shape what happens.

Consider your issue with the actual wrestling. Vince has his own notions on what the wrestling style should be. You won't see fast action, or high flying maneuvers (ala X-Division) because that's not what he wants to see. The cruiserweights will always be considered the mid-card and not of equal value as the others. Even the wrestlers that come up that have the talent and capability to go fast and pull off more involved moves are held back, because Vince wants his particular "style" to be done.

Same with the announcers. He wants "storytelling" not actual play by play. Take a look with what happened to Joey, enough said. At least he was smart enough to work a deal with JBL... he's the best they've got. Another example of WWE workers having to conform to what he wants.

Another major impact of his influence is on creative and booking. He's surrounded with "yes" people for the most part that won't try and fight him on doing things differently. If someone says "no" then the problem is his ego interfering with taking valid advice.

The best thing would be for Vince to stay out of things, and hire/ trust people that can write and book creatively, and stay out of their way. If you hire someone for their ability to do the job, then let them do it, otherwise why say they are responsible when Vince is stepping in and changing things.

ECW. Enough said. Vince couldn't keep away from making changes with ECW. Heyman can't work to his full potential when Vince is always altering things. Vince "watered down" ECW (again, imposing his view of what style it should be) and turned it into another WWE show. Vince gets rid of Heyman because of the poor PPV performance, yet Vince did a lot of work to set it up for failure. He doesn't understand it, doesn't get it... still gets involved, and can't own up to responsiblity. In a way, I'm sure he now feels "justified" in a warped way... ECW has failed, so that "proves" that the WWE way of things is the right way.

Yet another example of Vince's imposed views affecting the product... his love affair with hulking mesomorphs, and going for the T&A factor with the divas. He thinks the ideal wrestler is just huge... factors such as mic skills, charisma, etc are secondary. They will get pushed, while smaller and more talented wrestlers linger in mid card limbo. Women's wrestling matches are mostly a misnomer now-a-days (esp with Trish and Lita leaving). They are more interested in hiring women that look good, without regard to athletic ability or mic skills either. It's just a reason to have scantily clad women on the roster, have bikini and lingerie matches, and to get them to pose for playboy and other mags for publicity.

So here are my dream fixes (I know they will never happen):

Vince removes himself from his imposed oversight role with creative and booking.
Steph does the same.
Fill Creative with a quality talent pool.
Give Creative carte blanche to operate within the following parameters (ie no outside oversight):

Balance out the focus between the heavies and the cruisers, and between the singles and tag teams. They need equal consideration.
Give more promo time to the wrestlers with mic skills.
Take away the need for conformity to one style of wrestling.
Give more ring time to the wrestlers with in ring ability and better move sets.
Turn the divas with no in ring ability into managers and interviewers.
Only hire/ put women in the women's division who have in ring skills.
Have title changes happen during regular shows, and not just the PPVs... and stop advance advertising for PPV matches. (So you actually keep watching because you don't know what will happen.)
Vary the belt holders and the chasers (keep things different, instead of having the same 3 people or so always vying for the same thing)

To keep Creative on track (besides looking at ratings), they should have a staff that monitors fan feedback from the internet (news sites, posting boards, etc).

The creativity in the storylines needs to improve, and they should extend the lenght of each wrestling match. Also, the WWE should let the fans decide who should be the champions and stop trying to force the fans into liking the basic homegrown WWE guys like Cena, Batista and Orton. Another step in the right direction would be to re-sign RVD, Benoit and Rey Mysterio to long term contracts and build new stars around them. Basically Vince should step down as chairman, he's gone completely insane, his ego is getting the best of him and he seems to be doing the exact opposite on what real wrestling fans want on pupose to show off his power in the buisness.

I believe that wrestling has dropped off but there is not much to do. The way I see it, wrestling fans have changed, not me. So wrestling has changed in order to give the majority of the fans what they want. If I had it my way it would be different.
- I would focus on wrestling, not the storylines. Survivor Series was 3 hours and only 45 min of it was wrestling.I am a classic wrestling fan and am a fan of good technical wrestling. I don't need to see guys get thrown off of cages and ladders and all sorts of blood in order to enjoy it.
- I would push wresters because of their in ring ability not their mic skills. Wrestlers like Chris Benoit, Chavo Gurrero, and Bob Holly wouldn't be stuck in mid-card fueds while wrestlers like Cena, Lashley, and Batista are pushed because of their personas.
- I would also always have at least one heel stable with 3 or more members in it. This causes good heat for the wrestlers in the group and also builds good storylines around it.

Unfortunately I realise that good wrestlers with little personalities are not going to be main eventers for long because the majority of fans would not tune in. It's sports entertainment now, not wrestling. I just think its a shame.

1st of all, bring Paul Heyman back to ECW. Even if it is a WWE brand, you can't have ECW without Paul E.

2nd of all, too many stupid story lines and retarded characters like Crime Tyme. They've been around for about a month or two and had one maybe two matches. And what the hell is up with The Boogie Man? He's had a hand full of matches and maybe, maybe a total of five moves. And that includes eating worms.

Well having the likes of Khali or Boogeyman won't help things. They're terrible wrestlers. these days it seems to be the same guys fighting each other week in week out. that's both Raw & S/D. A bit more variety more tlc matches or hell-in-a -cell matches etc might improve things.
WWE is visibly more popular than TNA & i think they're getting complacent.

I'd actually like to see a legends division with titles to go with it...they can run across the Raw and Smackdown promotions but have World, Intercontentential or US, and Tag Tag Titles for those westlers over 50 who everybody loves and who won't go away. It's ridulous to think that Ric Flair or Roddy Piper (health permitting) could go toe-to-toe with guys like Trip-H or Batista, but let them fight amoungst themselves for real titles and we'll bring back some of that classic wrestling that I grew up on...not to mention, give the younger guys something to look forward to...It works for golf and tennis, why not here?

eliminate the T&A "T*ts and @**" Im Strait i just think there's WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY too much of it in Wrestling, stop the over-the-top fueds and dynasty/days of are lives style soapfest, and "Good gravy!" get rid of DX(Shawn and Hunter) they were Original & Popular when i was 14 and 15 yrs old, this DX revival is as dumb and inane as the nWo being brought back in 2002(Vince injecting "the cancer" into the wwe) two 30-something-men acting like porky's-esque teen's/immature young adult's is downright lame
