So many of these answers are wrong, here's the truth:

Tomlinson in 13 games so far has scored:

26 rushing TDs (not a record, 27 set by P. Holmes '03 and tied by S. Alexander '05)
3 receiving TDs
2 passing TDs (does not count toward TD record)

So his 29 TDs this season have nothing to do with the passing TDs he's thrown, as that is a separate category. 29 represents the number of times he has had the ball across the goal line in 2006, and that is the record.

He still has three more games to tie and break the single season rushing TD record (needs 1 to tie, 2 to break).

QB's have their own TD record, which is held by Peyton Manning, it's 42 I think.

L.T.'s record is most TD's SCORED in a season, meaning the ones where L.T. was the one to cross the goal line. Which he currently has 29 (26 rushing, 3 recieving). The two passing TD's don't count toward that total. He needs 2 more rushing TD's to pass Alexander's record of 27 rushing TD's in a season. He need's one more TD to pass Paul Hornung's single season scoring record of 176 set in 1960. Hope that helps.
