Probably "The Jeffersons" was the most successful spin-off TV series. It was a spin-off from "All in the Family" in the mid-70s.

Andy Griffith Show: Mayberry RFD, Gomer Pyle
All In The Family: Maude, The Jeffersons
Love American Style: Happy Days
Happy Days: Laverne and Shirley, Joanie Loves Chachi, Mork and Mindy.
MASH: Trapper John MD
Dallas: Knots Landing
Maybe you're just too young to remember most of them, but do the names "CSI" or "Law and Order" ring a bell? Or "Star Trek"? (Animated series, TNG, DS9, Voyager, Enterprise)

All in the Family produced Maude, The Jeffersons and Good Times; Happy Days produced Laverne & Shirley; and even they call them "franchises", the Law and Order and Star Trek series are nothing but spinoffs. Same for CSI.
