I am on Orthotricylen LO. The only side effects I have had was some spotting before my period (never enough to have to use a tampon or pad)...and that has only happend twice out of the eight months I have been on it. I havent gained weight, skin isnt worse, and I can expect my period on the same two day range every month.

I'm on Norimin, and I now take it for 63 days like Seasonale. It took me about 5 or 6 different brands to find a pill that didn't give me breakthrough bleeding during or after the first three months - so be prepared to spend a while finding one that your body likes.
I haven't had any side effects from Norimin. No breakthrough bleeding etc.

I currently use the Nuva Ring, but have been on just about every pill before now..so heres what happened in my experiences!
Ortho Try-Cyclen - Gave me the WORST PMS ever!!
Ovcon 35 - Made me an uber B|tch ALL THE TIME! and then made me cry all the time.
Estrostep - made me sick to my stomach on the 1st week of pills, fine the 2nd week, major headaches and pms the 3rd week!
Thats why I switched to the ring...no side effects for me on this one!

I'm 44 and am no longer on birth control, but was for too many years to count. If I had to do it again, I would definately use the diaphram again. I used it while I was breast feeding my 1st child. It's no trouble, and you can even insert it prior to a date, or going out if you think there is a possibility of having sex. It worked for me.
I've also heard that the Neuva (spelling?) ring is being raved about.
And, just a final thought, you may want to consider other alternatives if there is a history of breast cancer in the women in your family.

Each pill reacts differently on each woman. You will get lots of repsonses but take into consideration that your body may react differently to the type of pill that person is talking about. Your doc is the one who will help you decide what pill is right for your body and it may take several trials of pills to find out which one is best for you.

i'm on ortho tricyclen right now, and it's my second month taking them. the only side effect i've had is that my boobs are sore all the time. also, if i don't eat near the time i take it my stomach hurts for a while until i do. also i'm a littel tired, but that could just be from pulling late nighters for finals.
