"Everytime You Go Away" is a song written by Daryl Hall and covered by Paul Young.

Young's version hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 on July 27 in 1985. It remains his only number-one hit and one of the two Top 10 hits he had on the Billboard Top 100. The other one was "Oh Girl", which peaked at no. 8 in 1990.

At the end of the movie Planes, Trains and Automobiles the song is performed by Blue Room.

In 2006 Clay Aiken covered this song on his CD A Thousand Different Ways.

The music come lower back AND stay is the only which made him international favourite in 1983. In 1984 he had complications inclusive of his vocal chords, even with the undeniable fact that, his comeback replaced into out of the consumer-friendly, when you consider that youthful's greatest global hit followed in 1985 with a version of Daryl hall's (from hall & Oats) "each and each and every time YOU go away". This music is definitely no longer from the 70's, and also takes position to be easily one of my admired ballads from the "80s". i wish this helped. Panterita
